Worth every penny July 6, 2010 Christopher J. Cimino 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this as a birthday gift for my wife. She doesn't have alot of time to herself except in the mornings before the kids wake up so this was what I got her. She loves it. There have been no problems with it at all and she says it's real easy to use. A great gift idea for busy moms or anyone who loves a good espresso.
Very good. July 6, 2010 Drongo 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A unit that works very well and makes good capuccino. I have had a DeLonghi pump machine (poor !) and a Melitta (very good, but discontinued), and the Mr Coffee ECM140 is the best so far.
Negatives? Frothing works much better without the useless plastic steamer cover, and the designer who allowed the stylist to rule on the tapered knobs should develop arthritis, and spend a day operating the machine with wet hands!
fast shipment June 25, 2010 allison Item shipped fast. Product box looks like it has been resealed though. Overall, positive experience
It's cheap, it works... June 20, 2010 Didi CC (Emeryville, CA) Not the best or most attractive design, but it is simple and it works. The major annoyance is the dismal ergonomics of screw top to access the water reservoir; an older person or even a younger person with a weaker wrist would find it difficult to unscrew the thing everytime to add water into the reservoir. Can only recommend it if cost is an issue; otherwise spend a little more and get a better machine.
Great little machine! June 7, 2010 Michael Hernly (Columbus, OH) I purchased this little machine because I had read great reviews. I was looking for an expresso/latte maker that would be inexpensive since I wasn't sure I would actually use it on a regular basis. I had a machine many years ago that was "fancy" and I didn't use it much....it was too much trouble for one cup of latte.
This little machine is AWESOME. I have pretty much used it everyday since I purchased it. It is so easy to use and easy to clean up. I would agree with others that you need to puchase a tamper and frothing pitcher.
