Product Description Why go to a cafe when you can have creamy, frothy milk for your coffee in your own home? The Nespresso Aeroccino Milk Frother uses your favorite milk and at the push of a button creates a froth in about 50 seconds that will enhance any hot drink. And it works quietly so you won't have to wake anyone else up when you have your early-morning coffee or espresso. Try it in hot cocoa for those cold winter nights! Stops automatically

Works for now August 28, 2010 Venus Van Ness (Pittsfield, MA United States) I received this frother as a gift and was highly disappointed with my first couple of frothing attempts. It didn't froth the milk! So, I went to return it to the store (after yelling at my husband for spending $100 on a milk frother) and they were aghast at the idea that I would return this amazing product. I told them that it didn't froth my fat free half and half, so they tried it out at the store with whole milk. Worked perfectly! The store clerk explained something about the fat content in milk and how skim froths best because fat molecules prevent the milk from separating which is what creates the froth, blah blah blah. Oh, and since the frother wasn't "defective" and I had already used it, they wouldn't let me return it. So I went home and tried it with skim milk. Awesome froth. I add a couple teaspoons of my flavored creamer to a shot of espresso and I get an excellent latte. So for now, I rate this as a 4 star product. The reasons I don't give it a 5 are:
- The price; $100 is ridiculous
- As others have noted, you can only froth I serving of milk at a time. If you fill past the line even a tiny bit, it overflows and makes a mess.
- It won't froth my fat free half and half, and I prefer it to skim milk.
I'm expecting this thing to break down, so I'm keeping the box and all of the packing materials.
Another dissatisfied customer August 7, 2010 groni Unfortunately I have to share the pain of other people here who thought this to be a fantastic machine at start, but were very disappointed after 2 weeks. The aeroccino just stops working, the milk stays cold, it will not run for a full cycle, it's too small for even 1 cup of coffee so you have to do 2 rounds and it spills very easily. I even called to complain and got a new replacement, which was good again for 2 weeks, but after that showed the same exact symptoms.
Don't buy this product, you are guaranteed to be disappointed.
Great just don't get it wet August 5, 2010 Johanna (Lenox, Morocco) Its true this product is a little moody. Just be careful not to get the bottom wet because if you do it takes a long time to dry and work again. Other than that it is completely soundless quieter than a mouse, and makes excellent froth. Just enough for one person though, no more.
The older, smaller Nespresso Aeroccino is not idiot proof July 8, 2010 J. Abbott (Portland, OR - United States) As you can see by many of the reviews for this product; it is not idiot proof. Many of the reviews are for the older, smaller version and don't apply to this model. I have the old version and it has performed without problems for years. Milk will froth in proportion to the fat content; the more fat, the more froth. (This is why whipping cream contains cream rather than skim milk.) If you rinse the unit after pouring the milk out, cleaning will be easier. Use it, wash it and dry it. (This is not complicated, and should not present a problem.) If you want to heat and froth more than one drink, you can simply pour cold water or water and ice cubes into the unit to quickly reset the thermal switch that is associated with turning off the unit when the heat cycle is complete. Should my old original design unit ever wear out, I will not hesitate to purchase this newer improved version. NOTE: If you are pouring cold water or water with ice into the unit to recycle the thermal switch, use the same part that you would put milk in. Don't turn the unit upside down and try to pour water into the electronics. ;-)
Aeroccino milk frother is great June 28, 2010 Susan (Alabama) We have used the Aeroccino milk frother for over a year and have had no problems with it. I wash out the inside but am careful to keep the outside dry. My only complaint is that I wish it had a larger capacity. Looks like the newer model is bigger but will wait until this one dies before checking that out.
