This cute handheld milk frother is fun and easy to use; British celebrity chef Nigella Lawson recommends it over steam-driven frothers. Plus, in addition to its most popular use--creating delicate foam for homemade cappuccinos, lattes, or hot chocolates-- the Aerolatte milk frother can be used for other, equally yummy treats. An enclosed recipe sheet offers ideas for fruit "shakes" and coffee frappes that can be made with any kind of cow, goat, sheep, soy or rice milk! Some restaurant chefs even froth milk to foam garnish earthy soups. The frother is easy to use, with a simple black toggle button to turn it on. Hold the stainless steel head just below foam level to keep froth building. The shape of the steel-toned, satin-finished handle is curved in the right places and flattened on the sides for a comfortable grip. When it's time to replace the batteries, a black ridged cover slides off to reveal the battery chamber. (It's important to use alkaline batteries with the Aerolatte milk frother.) To clean, turn the frother on and dip the whisk in hot soapy water; rinse well, and turn again briefly to spin dry. Wipe the handle with a damp cloth; do not immerse handle in water. The whisk is not removable from the battery handle. The milk frother measures 8-1/2 by 1-1/2 inches. Two AA alkaline batteries are included, as well as a recipe and instruction sheet.  Great product, better than I expected March 3, 2010

It is very well worth the money I spent. It creates the foam in just 15-20 minutes, and the foam doesn't disapear for very long time. I'd say the quality of foam is even better than I saw in expensive cappuccino machines. I'd recomend this product to anybody who likes their coffee with lots of foam.

This is an amazing item. I should know since I've owned the exact same frother purchased at IKEA for $3.99 a couple of years ago.
Like whipping cream, make sure your milk is cold. I personally have a Saeco Italian cappucino/espresso/coffee machine that does a great job of frothing along with producing excellent coffee. I can tell you that it still makes my coffee but this little beauty does all of the frothing for me.
Take your coffee cup and add raw sugar. Add to this your skim milk and froth the mixture with the frother for about 20-30 seconds. To clean it, run some water while holding the spinning end of the frother for a few seconds. Turn off the water and continue to spin the frother for a couple more seconds to dry it a bit. Set it back on the counter on its flat base and add your coffee to the mixture. Voila! Perfect coffee with a perfectly frothed head!
The batteries last amazingly long, too. Keep it away from excessive heat and your stove since it is primarily constructed of plastic, although it a stout design. Love it!

I bought a Mr. Coffee Cappucino maker which worked just fine but clean up was more detailed than expected as each time it was used, you had to empty the tray underneath, clean the frother, wash the glasses and pitcher. I saw this on Amazon and also, my Grandson that is a student at WVU wanted one, so I ordered myself one also. Let me say, this is far superior to the frother on the Cappuccino maker and my Grandson, says if he had to choose, it would be this frother. Here is an EXCELLENT RECIPE:
1/2 MUG OF HOT WATER
4 TSP. OF CAPPUCCINO- VICTORIAN INN (SOLD BY AMAZON)- i PREFER THE HAZELNUT AND THE ENGLISH TOFFEE
1/2 TSP. INSTANT ESPRESSO COFFEE (MEDAGLIA D'ORO- IS A GOOD BRAND)
3 TSP. COGNAC- HENNESSY VERY SPECIAL COGNAC IS A VERY GOOD.
HEAT 1/3 MUG OF 1% MILK IN THE MICROWAVE, AND USE THE FROTHER TO BRING FORTH A GOOD FROTH, ABOUT 45 SECONDS. ADD TO THE CAPPUCCINO. DELICIOUS AND RELAXING.

I bought 3 of these Aerolatte Milk Frothers at Christmas-for me and my 2 daughters-and because my second cappuccino machine is just like the first--clogged steamer/frother way too easily. I wanted something easy and fast and easy to clean. Although, I had to work a little on the technique, I am finding this is just the answer to the question of frothed milk. I use skim milk and found that it froths easier than 1% or 2%. And the milk has to be hot to work well. Just like frothing egg whites for meringue, it doesn't work with oil or fat in it. Anyway, while my machine is making the coffee, I am heating the milk in my cup in the microwave and then froth the milk in the cup. I gently pour in the coffee and usually get at least a half inch of frothy milk. Makes all the difference in the world with the frothy milk. Yum!!
